Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for a canoe tour of the Anacostia River to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife and observe trash reduction projects along the Anacostia River.
When: Saturday July 20, 9-11am
Meeting Location: We will gather near the playing fields at Kenilworth Park at 1500 Deane Ave NE. There is a gravel parking lot available.
What to Wear/Bring: We recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat and bringing water..
