Donor Highlight: Kelly Fisher of Wildflower Yoga

Meet Kelly Fisher, one of Friends’ donor champions! Kelly runs Wildflower Yoga, which focuses on the physical and spiritual healing power of yoga, and recently raised $1,045 for our annual summer camp through a yoga fundraiser!

Kelly says that, “since the pandemic began and then the cause of racial justice came to the forefront this year, I was moved to do more for the cause of racial justice and to give back. Once per month, the third Thursday every month, from 7-8pm, I host a Yoga Nidra benefit for a good cause – food banks, Equal Justice Initiative, NAACP, and KAG Summer Camp program to benefit your local neighborhood low income kids have all been recipients. We’ve raised over $6000 in total since March.”

Teaching through Zoom allows people from anywhere in the world to participate! And you can join Kelly in her next Yoga Nidra Benefit this month here. This benefit goes towards Solutions in Hometown Connections, which supports immigrants and their families.

We are thrilled Kelly found a way to combine her passion with charitable giving. If you have a unique way you’d like to support Friends and the Gardens, please contact Tina O’Connell at tina@fokag.org! You can check out Kelly’s classes here

Today we celebrate and thank Kelly for her dedication to helping create a more equitable world!
